Academics

BBC&I offers a curriculum designed to prepare students for effective ministry in the Caribbean context. Our programs combine biblical and theological study with practical ministry training.

Academic Approach

Our academic program is built on three pillars:

  1. Biblical Foundation — Thorough study of the Old and New Testaments, including original language tools and hermeneutical methods
  2. Theological Framework — Systematic theology, church history, and Christian ethics that ground students in historic Baptist faith
  3. Ministry Preparation — Pastoral ministry, homiletics, Christian education, missions, and evangelism courses with practical field experience

Curriculum Structure

BBC’s curriculum is organized across five core areas:

  • Biblical Studies Core — Biblical expositions, surveys, systematic theology, and biblical history
  • Christian Education Core — Missions, homiletics, pastoral theology, discipleship training, evangelism
  • Elementary Education Core — Teaching methodologies, early childhood education, curriculum design
  • General Studies Core — English composition, speech, psychology, music, computer studies
  • Electives — Courses outside degree requirements to broaden knowledge
