BBC&I is preparing to welcome students as part of our restoration. Below you will find information about our admissions process and requirements.
Admission Requirements
BBC seeks students who demonstrate a genuine call to Christian ministry and a desire for theological education.
Evidence of Christian Character
- Applicants must personally believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- Applicants must be a member in good standing with their local church
- Applicants must have a desire to be in full-time Christian service
- Applicants must be willing to submit to the rules and regulations of BBC
- Applicants must be willing to sign the school’s doctrinal statement expressing agreement with its assertions
Evidence of Academic Preparation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required for degree programs; exception for the Graduate of Theology diploma)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Applicants from countries where English is not the first language may be required to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- Applicants must be 17 years of age or older

- Complete the application form with all required information and the $20 non-refundable application fee
- Submit supporting documents including your pastoral recommendation and academic transcripts
- Interview with an admissions representative (in person or by phone/video)
- Receive your admission decision by mail or email
Tuition & Fees
BBC is committed to making theological education accessible and affordable. Tuition rates are being finalized by the Board of Directors for the restoration period. Please contact admissions@bluewaterbible.org for the most current tuition information.
For reference, BBC’s historical tuition (2014) was $80 per credit hour, with total estimated costs of approximately $2,970 per semester for a full-time, on-campus student (including tuition, room and board, registration, computer lab fee, and textbooks).
On-Campus Living
BBC has historically offered on-campus housing with separate dormitories for men (Woodland Hall) and women (Thompson Hall). Each room is furnished with beds, study tables, and a chest of drawers. All on-campus students eat in the dining hall, which serves three meals daily in a cafeteria-style setting. Details about campus housing availability during the restoration period will be announced.
Financial Aid
BBC is exploring scholarship and financial assistance options for qualified students. As a ministry training institution, we understand that many of our students serve in volunteer or modestly compensated ministry roles. We are committed to removing financial barriers to theological education.
